It is a wonderful thing when intelligence, talent, ambition, and athleticism collide as it has with Jaren. Jaren is one of the sons of a very dear college friend whom I met my freshman year at Arizona State University, so I have known his family for quite some time now. Jaren may as well have been born with a basketball at his side. In fact, he may have been. I mean seriously, his initials are JAM and jamming on the basketball floor is just what he has done. I remember when he was born and his nursery was filled with basketball themed memorabilia. Basketball has been in his blood and so has education and ambition. He was a stellar student and athlete at Chandler High School and this fall he will be a freshman at the University of Arizona. Despite being an ASU grad, I am still strongly supportive of his attendance at U of A. It was one of the many schools he was accepted to and offered an academic scholarship. With his ambition and strong work ethic I strongly believe he will have a positive impact on the world. It has been a delight to see one of our first kiddos grow up to be so phenomenally awesome.
