Chelsie and Andrew welcomed a beautiful, newborn baby girl, Abigail into the world this fall. Abigail was such a heavy sleeper during her portrait session, she totally let me mold her into so many of the squishy positions we know and love. She was so smiley and sweet I just adored her! She has this stunningly adorable pink, pouty lips that are enough to make Angelina Jolie jealous and she didn’t hesitate pursing them forward when my camera’s shutter clicked. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to photograph this little darling in my Chandler studio while she was still in her momma’s tummy and again as a newborn portrait photography session. I absolutely love watching families grow and sharing in the joy of welcoming such a precious little one into the world. Abigail joins her family which includes her furry big brother, King, a handsome Beagle.
I had the pleasure of also welcoming into the studio my dear friend and photography assistant for the day, Christine Mosby of Christine Mosby Photography located in North Phoenix. Christine also has copious amounts of experience photographing newborns, however, her studio recently has begun specializing in high school senior portrait photography. I met Christine through one of my photography mentors, Leah Remillet of The Thriving Photographer. I was so happy when she agreed to join me to photograph behind the scenes photos and video of me working with Abigail during her newborn photography session. It was so nice having another experienced set of hands with me in the studio. She helped to keep Abigail asleep, holding her dainty little hands, fingers and feet in poses so she wouldn’t startle and spotted her while I made adjustments.
