I am certainly in love with this newborn session of paternal, newborn, twins, Rhemy and Esme. These twin girls arrived only three weeks earlier than their due date, at just over 5 pounds each. When their mommy, Leyda, contacted me, I was super excited about designing a newborn session for her girls. Leyda liked my simple and natural style with neutral backgrounds, minimal props, and a lot of white. Sessions styled like this are definitely my jam as I feel like they are super timeless and can compliment a classic decor atmosphere very well.
The babies arrived peacefully asleep and in style inside their double-decker stroller. After a quick change, feeding, and swaddle wrap the girls were ready for the photos. With the assistance of my dear friend and fellow professional newborn photographer, Soula, from Ana Bleu Photography, we were able to get started right away while Leyda got herself photo-ready. Here are some of my favorites from our portrait session together. I am a bit of an over-sharer and it was terribly hard for me to cull through my favorite images to share here in this blog post, so bear with me and get ready to swoon. <3
One of the services I love provide to mothers is access to my studio wardrobe which is filled with very feminine and flattering gowns, in various sizes. Having clothing available at my studio gives moms one less thing to worry about. Often, new moms arrive to their baby’s newborn session dressed comfortably in yoga pants and messy bun, and it is totally ok! There is enough time during a newborn session to select your outfit from the client wardrobe, apply makeup, and do your hair as we photograph your baby, in this case, babies.
Towards the end of the twins’ newborn session, dad and big brother Aaron arrived. It took a little while for Aaron to come around and warm up in front of the camera, but once he did, he shared his handsome smile and bright eyes with us. Working with this family was a lovely treat, as I don’t get very many multiples in the studio. I can’t wait to see these girls grow up, and reach developmental milestones throughout this coming year.
