Smiling Newborn Baby Boy Portrait Session {Sebastian} | Chandler, AZ Newborn Portrait Photographer

I had the joy of meeting Sebastian in my Chandler, AZ studio at 14 days new.  He was all smiles throughout most of his portrait session which made it extremely difficult for me to not “over shoot” too many of the same images.  He was such a sweet snuggle bug during his entire newborn session it was hard to let him go back home with his family!  Sebastian was definitely worth the wait – momma was on bed rest at 29 weeks until he came into the world at 34 weeks.  Ugh, the sacrifices us mommas make for our little ones!  Through the grace of God, he was born healthy and strong weighing just over 7 pounds at birth and momma did a stellar job at accomplishing a VBAC.

During this portrait session, we incorporated family portraits with newborn Sebastian and his parents as well as with his older brother (age 4) and sister (age 18 months).  I quickly learned Sebastian preferred to be swaddled and held warmly against his daddy’s chest.  So, while shooting the family portraits I was certain to keep him swaddled and held closely by daddy.  Sebastian’s big brother is such a love bug and oh so sweet and surprisingly mature for his young age of four.  He followed directions well and didn’t shy away from the camera one bit!  As soon as the camera popped up he was all smiles with the cutest grin and bright hazel eyes.  We were even able to pose him holding his newborn brother – something I don’t always get to do because sometimes older siblings aren’t that much older and holding a newborn can be a bit of a challenge.  Little sister Valerie, who absolutely loves kitties wasn’t so sure about taking photos and probably would’ve preferred to hanging out with an adorable cat.  But, she did join us for a few shots and that’s all that matters.

This wonderful family traveled all the way from the Glendale area and I can’t thank them enough for choosing me to capture their growing family.  It has been an absolute honor.
