Well, the school year has begun and our children’s extracurricular activities have resumed. We now have a better gauge on how our remainder of 2019 is going to look and friends, it’s busy! Such is life! I’m sure your family’s calendars are filling up quite a bit too! Which is why I am happy to announce the remaining dates available for our 2019 Fall Sunset Portrait Sessions.
Details
The Fall Sunset Portrait Sessions are 30 minutes and will take place outdoors at Veterans Oasis Park in Chandler. A $200 non-refundable session fee retainer is required to reserve your session date. Within two weeks after your session, we will meet for an in-studio ordering and design appointment. Your full gallery of images will be presented and investment decisions will be made. 10 edited digital files for download with a print release and personal smartphone app are available for $375 with an option to upgrade this gallery for an additional $100 to receive the entire gallery of images. All fees require an additional 7.8% sales tax.
These sessions are designed to include immediate family members only (the parents & children of one family). However, if you would like to include extended family members, an additional session fee of $100 will be applied and is due at the time of booking.
As an added bonus, my lovely client wardrobe will be available for mommas and babies to wear during these portrait sessions! I am proud to offer gorgeous wardrobe pieces to wear during their photo session. Beautifully feminine gowns are available for mothers in size XS-XXL. Adorable, classic garments for babies and small children up to age 5 are also available.
Let’s Talk About the Time of Year
Each month the foliage and environment at my favorite location to photograph families changes. Personally, my favorite time to photograph families outdoors is in October. During the month of October, the weather is finally beginning to take a turn away from the outrageous heat, the grass is nice and tall and less trampled on. Most of all, the location is way less crowded than in November and December.
November is also a lovely month for family photos. However, November is also the photographer’s equivalent of the month of April to an Accountant. November is BUSY. Locations become saturated with photographers and their clients and it can be a bit hard to find a semi-private location. More people equals more distractions and this can sometimes be a little challenging for little ones. But, let this not completely sway away from scheduling fall family sunset sessions in November. It is also a very pretty time of year because the temperatures are dipping even lower and being outside is so much more pleasant. The leaves on the trees are beginning to turn an even more plum looking color and the citrus trees are filled with colorful fruit. The grass is still usually standing tall but it does begin to show signs of overstepping by the end of the month.
December is such a beautiful month in Arizona but sometimes can be a bit temperamental. By December, for certain our temperatures have dipped quite a bit compared to October. However, we also seem to get quite a bit of rain. This can result in mushy turf and bare trees. The colorful foliage that drapes the trees in October and November usually dissipates by mid to late December.
