you're juggling a million tasks, keeping your tiny humans alive and well, trying to squeeze in time for yourself, and still Trying to flourish among the chaos.
Mama I see you, I am you. In fact, I'm usually the last one in our family to be dressed because I'm so busy dressing and caring for everyone else while trying to keep the house from catching fire and telling my kids, "take another look" for whatever it is they're asking for.
On more than one occasion, (when the dust has settled and in a millisecond of silence) I've looked in the mirror to find that I've only applied mascara to one eye. If this is you, you are my people and I am yours.
I'm Reaj, and I photograph busy mamas who want to delegate the tedious juggle of photography details to a professional to create images that make them feel all the warm feels of motherhood and appear as they've got it all together.
By now, I'm sure you've pronounced my name a dozen different ways in your mind so let me share this secret with you, it's pronounced a lot simpler than you think. “Ray-a” like a ray-of-sunshine, easy right?
I am a wife, mama of two, professional baby snuggler, and a photographer. I get my kicks out of creating beautiful, timeless images of newborns and families while providing phenomenal service to busy mamas like you.
As a mother of a freshman son in college, and sixth-grade daughter who are nothing alike but equally fantastic, I'm living the dream shuttling them to school, and dance. I'd like to pride myself on having it all together, but I'll be the first to say that I absolutely do not. So I get it.
On the day of your portrait session with me, I invite you to do the bare minimum - especially if you have just had a baby. From one mom to another, I affectionately give you permission to arrive without makeup on, in yoga pants and a top knot, and to let us pamper you. I want you to feel beautiful. I want you to feel comfortable. My desire is for you to have an amazing portrait experience that you cannot wait to tell your friends about.
From the butterfly flutters in your tummy to the tiny toes, heartwarming giggles, and bright adoring eyes of your one-year-old. These are memories of my babies I cherish and these are the memories I will capture for your family. My sessions are laid-back, fun, and most of all, stress-free. My goal is to make this an experience for you and your family one that you love and reflect on fondly so when you look at your images you remember the warmth of your baby's cuddles and the soft touch of their tiny hands.
I would love some time to meet with you to show you my space, discuss our full process, and share all the fancy details. Ready to meet in person?
"We recently did a newborn/family session with Reaj shortly after our 3rd baby was born. I have had newborn photos taken of each of my children, but this was by far the smoothest and least stressful experience I have had so far. She planned everything out perfectly. She even met with me in advance to help plan our wardrobe choices. She was clearly very experienced and took such beautiful photos of our new baby and our family. I am very pleased with the results of our session and I know I will treasure the photos we received forever. I will not hesitate to work with her again in the future."
