Hello! I’m Reaj, pronounced “Ray-a” like a ray-of-sunshine and I’m so glad we found each other! I am a wife, momma of two, a professional baby snuggler, and a photographer. I get my kicks out of creating beautiful, timeless images of newborns and families while providing phenomenal service to busy mommas like you.
As a mother of a 15-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter, I’m living the dream shuttling these kiddos to school, soccer, and dance. So I get it. I know what it is like to juggle a million tasks, keep your tiny humans alive and well, and try to make time for yourself. Often times, I’m the last one to be dressed because I’m so busy dressing everyone else. Then, I rush and skip on the glam. If this is you, you are my people and I am yours. It doesn’t have to be this way. On the day of your portrait session with me, I invite you to do the bare minimum – especially if you have just had a baby. From one mom to another, I give you permission to arrive without makeup on, in yoga pants and a top knot and let us pamper you.
My Background:
Like many families in the Phoenix area, I am a transplant from Southern California. Born in SoCal, I was then raised in Tempe where I became an ASU Sun Devil and graduated with a degree in Sociology. After working in the health care administrative industry for nearly 15 years and having two small children, I decided to change gears.
My passion for photographing newborns and small children grew. I invested in countless hours of education, workshops, and retreats to consume as much information as possible. And then I did it. I jumped off into the deep-end, constructed a studio space and office within our home, and nearly 7 years later, here I am and here you are reading my love story.
