Our sweet girl Leila Belle is 9 years old and I cannot believe it. She is a phenomenal young person and we are so blessed to have her as our precious daughter. Leila Belle radiates love, creativity, and an ability to make me laugh so hard that my sides hurt. She loves to dance and loves her Yorkie, Elle. The two of them have an awkward bond, very much like sisters. I love Leila’s compassionate heart and your desire to know Jesus. I pray that she will always keep Him at the center of her heart and the forefront of her mind.
The COVID-19 pandemic may have made things look a lot different around here (and the world). However, it hasn’t dimmed her light or her amazing spirit. When she celebrated her birthday with a few friends via Zoom, she didn’t complain. It wasn’t the annual trip to Disneyland we had planned, but her joy was still palpable. She is optimistic about the days ahead and is hopeful for the future…and she is ready to be back on the stage! Nine years ago, I knew I was going to meet someone spectacular, and wow has she exceeded every expectation.
