Have you ever had that special doll or blanket that you absolutely loved when you were a child? Do you remember how you couldn’t go nearly anywhere without it and how special it was? That’s exactly what Miss. Kitty means to Miss. Madison. Madison and Miss. Kitty have been friends for over 6 years and today she even joined us for a few photos. When Maddie brought Miss. Kitty out of her bag, of course I asked if she could be in a few photos. And of course, I posed Miss. Kitty like a newborn with her mommy!
I am very lucky to have met Maddie, her mommy, her big sister, and especially Miss. Kitty by way of the Sun Drop Society. Maddie was born with and diagnosed with a rare disease called, Diamond-Blackfan Anemia, a disease in which she must undergo 1-2 blood transfusions a month. Please take a moment and read more about Maddie’s story by visiting her Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/maddiesmarathon
