It is absolutely thrilling to see my clients again and again throughout the year. Sweet Sadie joined my First Year Collection Baby Plan when she was six months and we recently connected again to celebrate her first birthday with a cake smash portrait session in my Chandler, AZ studio! Sadie was such a little lady and did not want anything to do with getting too messy. In fact, she preferred a tall bottle of milk in opposition to diving into her cake! Mom and I were absolutely surprised when we saw she wanted to keep her fingers so clean! Perhaps we should have provided her with a fork? She certainly fooled us because she sure had a ton of interest in the cake initially and even sort of crept up to the cake when we placed the cake on a little chair.
Later that evening, Sadie and her parents joined me at the Tumbleweed Ranch located inside Tumbleweed Park for a sunset family portrait session. It was a bit overcast that evening so I was a bit concerned we wouldn’t have much sunlight, but we managed to capture some beautiful images of their happy family together.
I adore photographing babies around this age. Its a benchmark between the newborn and one year ages when you really see these precious babes blossom into their personalities and it is exciting to witness!
