To say I loved this newborn girl portrait session with her mommy is an understatement. I seriously swoon when I look over these images. Michelle and Daryl brought their precious beautiful baby girl, Asia Han-Marie, into the world this past holiday season. When I began photographing little Asia, I was absolutely impressed with how lovely her skin was! She has the creamiest caramel skin I have seen in a long while, it was as if she was wearing foundation (no, she wasn’t). She was so delightful to photograph and she slept throughout her portrait session so well which allowed me to pose her into squishy positions. The folds created when I posed her on her belly and her tiny toes and lady fingers were so adorable.
And the headbands…oh my gosh! The delicate headbands with dried flowers and super soft materials were so fun to gently tie around her cute little head. I had been anxious to use some of my recently purchased organic headbands and tiebacks from my studio prop supply. I love having these adorable portrait accents around to use for newborns, babies, and small children. Asia’s mommy, Michelle arrived at their newborn session after she had her make up done by Marisa Rios of Leiden Mitchell Salon. Marisa’s work with my mommies is such a welcome addition to any portrait session, including maternity and newborn sessions. Having your makeup professionally applied by a licensed cosmetologist such as Marisa speaks volumes when designing a custom portrait photography session and definitely a step I strongly recommend.
