Sarah and Kyle joined me in my portrait studio for the first half of their maternity photography session with me and later that day outdoor for a gorgeous, desert, sunset session. Sarah and Kyle are definitely one of the sweetest couples I have ever photographed together. They are so ridiculously cute with each other – they are so respectful of each other and enjoy making each other laugh. We had an absolute blast working together during their maternity session and had to pause several times to contain our laughter. Sarah was open to my suggestions and so easy to pose – Kyle on the other hand needed relatively no instruction on posing. He is so smitten with Sarah and their new baby he posed naturally with Sarah.
Some of my favorite images of Sarah are of her are in front of the wide, sun-filled window in my studio. The warm glow of the sunlight behind Sarah illuminates the happiness and anticipation awaiting their new baby girl. Let’s not forget about the sunset portion of their maternity session. It was the hottest weekend of the year; rested and hydrated, we made our way through a desert trail 30 minutes to sunset. Huge, wild, jackrabbits and tiny cotton-tail bunnies pranced about as we walked up a small incline, chasing the sunset before it hid behind South Mountain. To say it was hot is an understatement, but Sarah and Kyle made our efforts appear flawless.
Sarah looked absolutely stunning in the outfits she selected from my studio closet. I have carefully selected gowns from my favorite vendors that design maternity gowns specifically for portrait sessions as well as a few beautifully feminine items from some of my favorite stores. These pieces are available for client use in the studio and on location. While in the studio, one of the gowns Sarah selected was a gorgeous dusty rose fitted gown with chiffon ruffles around the bottom. We added a lace wrap above her belly bump for added flare. This is one of my favorite gowns from TaoPaN and the color simply looks amazing on every skin tone. During the sunset portion of our maternity session together, Sarah wore another one of my favorites, a full, ivory tutu bottom with lace bandeau top from Sew Trendy Accessories.
